Hat Care

Take care of your hat by keeping it stored in its hatbox and wrapped in tissue paper. Tissue paper should act like a support for your hat or headpiece. A ball of tissue paper can be used to fill the crown or inside of the hat with some tissue also supporting any trim or veil.

To maintain they're pristine condition Felt hats may need a gentle brush with a babies brush or clothes brush from time to time and Straw hats a light clean with a damp cloth and a little steam from time to time.

Everyday Care
SUN
Hats of any material may be sensitive to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight causing colours to fade, and materials to become brittle.
RAIN
Protect your hat from the rain and getting wet. It is not meant to be a rain hat.
If your hat gets wet, place your hat upside down on its crown in a clean area, and allow to naturally dry.
HUMIDITY
Do not leave your hat in the car or in the sun as the humidity may cause it to lose shape, or the sweatband, cotton, wool or leather, could shrink or distort.
